If you read my diatribe about Benito in the last post, you would have witnessed a pissed off author who can't spell polyphagous correctly (thanks Harry for pointing this out).
There was a subsequent conversation with Benito. The top analyst was insistent that he apologises to me for his conduct. I had a major problem with that, because if anyone needed to apologise it was me. I was belligerent and rude and I must have made their analyst's experience of me hell.
Nevertheless we had a long conversation. My major problem was that we both work for a client and we need to keep the client's needs top of mind. I learned years ago that you can't make promises to a client that a verification agency won't accept. But where you do and you are sure you are right, you would hope that the verification agency would at least meet you somewhere.
We were both in agreement that this must be the case. And I think it was really decent of them to get hold of me and in a very civil way. We all benefited here.
And I'm still not going to tell you who Benito is - but perhaps I should change their name to Boutros.
