Mantashe reportedly said Anglo and its platinum unit Amplats (AMS), “must deal with South Africa as a country with respect,” he said. There is a distinct naivety to this statement. It is completely juvenile and victim-like. And this is the business-friendly party. Now they've been bombarded by FNB, which I think is possibly a silly thing for FNB to have done - but I welcome the dig on the government because it will test the waters as to what the consequences may be if a large corporate tells the government what idiots they in fact are.
It's this form of protest that we need to cultivate and encourage because the ANC are nowhere and as it turns out, never really ever had a plan or a clue. We don't have to tolerate this anymore.
