Broad- Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) & Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) Regulations, 2011 ALIGNMENT AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
Amajuba District Municipality hereby invites all business entities with its area of jurisdiction to the information session in which the KZN Treasury will clarify the alignment of B-BBEE and PPPFA Regulations.
As from the 7th of December 2011 business entities will not be able to trade with government if they had not undergone the verification process. It is important for business entities to understand the verification process and be verified in terms of B-BBEE Act.

The italicised sentence is the problem. This is not the case at all, if it were the case then government would not be able to import anything, which includes the jets that Zuma plans to buy. What this sentence should say is "if you want preference points then you are going to need a BEE certificate."
The messengers need training more than the suppliers. In case you wanted to know, the Amajuba District Municipality has its offices in Newcastle.
